Who will be dealing with my matter?

Once we have discussed your legal requirements we will let you know who is best placed to deal with your matter. If it is not something we deal with then we will consider if we know anyone else that can help you and point you in the right direction

We will then let you know who is likely to be dealing with the matter (Stephen, Lee or one of the consultant lawyers who we know and use).

What do you charge me for?

We will discuss our charges with you and confrim them in a letter to you setting out in detail what we have agreed to do and how much this is likely to cost.  If you have any queries at this stage, please let us know.

As we do not have the same overheads as a major city law firm, we can be more flexible and competitive with our charges.

Can I have a fixed price?

The simple answer in most cases is 'Yes'. Certain of our solutions already have a fixed price attached to them. Other matters can, in most circumstances, be accommodated on a fixed price basis and we will agree with you clearly what we will do for that fixed price.

Please note that we may not be able to give a fixed price where the matter involves the Courts or Tribunals - however we will discuss each case on its own merits.

When do I have to pay the fees?

Fees are generally invoiced to you on completion of a transaction or monthly as your matter progresses. We will keep you informed as to the level of our likely charges and will generally discuss with you our proposed fees on a monthly basis. If you would like any other arrangement, we are happy to discuss.

We will set out your particular payment terms in our engagement letter should you proceed to instruct us.

How will you keep me informed?

We mainly use e-mail to correspond with our clients and other advisors as this is a quick, relatively ecologically friendly way of communicating lots of information.

We are a virtually paperless office and scan and store images in a document management system. This allows us to find documentation quickly, efficiently and from whereever we are in the World (so long as we have a connection to the internet).

We also have the ability to speak with you via Skype, SMS text messaging and of course via mobile telephone, fax and the Royal Mail.

We are VAT registered and therefore you will pay VAT on the services that we provide to you unless you are outside of the scope of the VAT regulations.
